Shooting Star
Hi, I'm Jesse and I love coffee.
I love pasta. I love cooking pasta. I cook pasta…
…when I’m craving for a bowl of comfort food.
…every Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day, etc. Everytime there’s an occasion, really.
…when I feel GV.
…when I feel BV.
…when I feel like giving myself an award for cleaning the whole house (which rarely ever happens that’s why there are other reasons to cook).
…when I don’t feel like eating the usual lutong bahay kanin at ulam.
…when I’m bored.
…when I watch Italian cooking shows. Or when I feel Italian (I used to think we were Italian cos of our last name, but then…it’s a long story. Turns out, we’re sort of Spanish.)
…anytime, really.
Today, I made spaghetti (even if we didn’t have spaghetti sauce) for my sister (she’s the house’s Madam-boss for the meantime). So instead of buying spaghetti sauce, I just made do with whatever that’s available in our kitchen, diced tomatoes and a tiny pouch of tomato sauce (as in tiny). It’s all tomatoes that’s why it looks…liquid-ish? Basta not the usual consistency of the sauce when you actually put spaghetti sauce.
In fairness, I (and my sister) liked how it turned out. My sister finished her plate before I could even sit down! It’s super light, I don’t feel bloated like how I usually feel after eating a plate of pasta. I assume it’s also healthier? :)
